RESUS 2010 a HUGE success

The Resuscitation Conference, Resus 2010 was an incredible success. This two day conference held on July 10-11th in Melbourne Australia attracted national delegates and keynote speakers.

The aim was to put on an Australasian Conference that dealt with this all important topic. With over 250 delegates, this pure academic conference delivered some important keynotes including: 'ACS in 2010' and 'Resuscitation- When to Stop', 'Penetrating Neck Injury' and 'Pulmonary Embolism Diagnosis - Still and Artform?'.

Airway CPR and Trauma

Blog image Thank you to all the Doctors who recently undertook the 'Airway CPR and Trauma Management' workshop. This was designed specifically to deal with issues that may occur when medically covering the horse racing events. It was great to see everyone play all out. The group also consisted of critical care trained nurses and emergency nurses. It was a full day and we got to cover the essentials of airway and trauma management directly in relation to horse racing.

Advanced Airway Workshop

Associate Professor Peter Kas will this year be presenting the Advanced Airway Workshop and lectures at the ACEM Annual Scientific Meeting. This will be a rapid course in skill practice and attainment. See you there.

The Cardiac Course

The Cardiac Course in Sydney April 9-10th 2010, at Royal prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, is a 2 day immersion into all Emergency Cardiology. Run by Associate Professor Peter Kas. It covers all aspects of cardiology including acute coronary syndrome, pulmonary embolism, dissection, arrhythmias, syndromes such as Brugada and Wellens as well as taking you through ECG interpretation over the two days and increasing your knowledge in this area to a whole new level.

RESUS 2010

RESUS 2010 - July 10-11th 2010. We had a great conference with over 250 delelgates and two days of incredible speakers delivering some great talks. There was also a pre-conference Advanced Airway Workshop that was filled to capacity, as well as a procedure and ECG workshop offerred during the conference.

The response has been outstanding and we look forward to putting the next one on in the next year.
